Here are some pics from my iPhone. I have always been hung up on making sure I post only the highest quality images taken with my fancy camera, but the fact of the matter is, some of my best shots are from my iPhone. Exhibit A and B:

Happy Mother's Day
Happy belated Mother's Day to you all. This year, as a gift, I contemplated paying someone to shoot pictures of Leilani and even called around to a local photographer to see what the cost might be. $300 for an hour. I passed. Instead I decided to commit to an idea I had of creating a faux oil painting of Leilani, Lily, and Murray. I had plenty of photos of all of them. I say faux, because I'm a terrible painter, but I know my way around Photoshop pretty well. Cost: $0 + whatever the cost was to print and frame it. I lucked out finding some images of Tulips, since those are Jen's favorite. Overall I was very happy with the result and so was Jen, which is the only opinion that mattered. Success! Anyway, here it is.

Cutie Patootie
What's a Patootie anyway? Yah, I rewrote this post. This blog is totally unpredictable like that. Annnyway, I continue to be told by strangers that Leilani is so much bigger than kids her own age or even older. It's the same story every time–"Oh wow, she's only 1 and a half, she's big." Just for fun, I'm going to start pretending to be offended by that. The next time that happens, my facial expression will go all serious followed by "What a thing to say!!!" and then I'll snatch up Leilani and storm off. Or better yet, the next time they ask me how old she is when Jen isn't around I'm going to say "Oh she just turned 7 months." followed by "I know, she is big, it's because my wife is 6' 11".

Fashion forward
Helllllo, latest fashion trend. Leilani isn't afraid to clash prints or colors. She's some kind of fashion prodigy I think. I mean, that shirt isn't even on the right way–by choice!
