Leilani in Slumberland

It's not uncommon for people to look surprised when they find out Leilani's age. They almost always guess her to be several months older, so obviously she is bigger than average. They're just jealous that their babies loom in our gigantic baby's shadow. She's the most adorable giant I've ever met.

Leilani turns 7 months

Well, technically I'm late, but better than never. I love Leilani at this age. Her personality is big while she's still small. Before I know it she'll be crawling, walking, running and terrorizing our house. We just purchased a safety gate, outlet plugs and drawer stops because her curiosity is at an all time high. Each times she drives her walker around the kitchen, she stops at her favorite drawer, pulls it open and sticks her little hands in to pull out the many treasures buried within.

Jedi mind tricks

Leilani is the most adorable baby in the world. Leilani can have anything she wants. Leilani doesn't have to wear clothes anymore.

Shake n' Bake

This photo, aside from being absolutely adorable, reminded me of when Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) in Talladega Nights was being interviewed for the first time and couldn't figure out what to do with this hands so he kept holding them up near his face. Classic.

Rise and shine

Captured some video of Leilani waking up from a nap. In the mornings when she's up before us she stomps her feet to let us know she's awake and by the time we get over to her she's usually all smiles. It's hard to be mad at that.

Happy Father's Day

Leilani and Jen surprised me with about a dozen or more glamour shots of my little girl. There's only one thing as good as seeing my daughter on Father's Day and that's receiving pictures of my daughter to keep with me when she isn't. It was an awesome surprise. I have such a beautiful girl. Here just a handful of the many photos I received.

Picnic by the pond

This past weekend, Grandma Sue, Auntie Shey, Uncle Dan and the Salvadors headed up to Crystal Lake for a picnic by the water. It was not as much a lake as it was a pond. Nevertheless it was a beautiful day to be outside. Leilani has a lot of fun being outdoors, taking in the sunshine and scenery. We can check-off "take Leilani to a pond" off our list now.

Your chariot awaits

Introducing the Chariot Cougar 1, Leilani's newest set of wheels. As you can probably see, it's a bike-drawn carriage. It's the perfect reason to get outside to enjoy the fresh air, mountain views and some father-daughter time. I guess Jen's going to need a bike now, she's missing out.

Happy Birthday Mommy

In the six months I've known you, you seem pretty awesome. You're always loving me, feeding me, playing with me, and changing what I just did in my diaper. xoxo.

Ummm...

There's a bear behind me isn't there? On an unrelated note, I think I just pooped myself.
