That's my girl

I can't believe Jen and I are already starting to plan Leilani's 1st birthday. It's come around so fast. She's advanced quickly for only being 10 months. She already sits, stands, and can walk about 10 or so steps without holding on or needing help. It's only until she realizes she's not holding on that she thinks she needs to, but that will soon change and she'll be charging full-steam across the living room.

Party in pink

I am not sure how we managed it, but after several months of secret planning, Sheyanne's surprise party went off without a hitch. And if it looks as though Sheyanne had been crying, she had. Lots. It was a very emotional celebration surrounded by an immense amount of love and joy. I could tell you all about it, but who better to hear it from than Sheyanne herself. Here is the latest blog post from Sheyanne's own blog. Click here to read her post.

Successful first child

As if just having a baby wasn't enough, family and friends already want to know if we're planning on having more. Well the answer is yes. After the amazing success of our first kid, we decided we're pretty good at this. Oh, if it were only as easy as pouring water on her. Speaking of which, the Leilani on the left is bearing some resemblance to a Gremlin.

Chuckles

Here's some video of Leilani having a laugh in the tub. It's funny how she can go from hardly paying attention to a gut-busting laugh in a split second, then right back to not paying attention. She get's the hardly paying attention part from me.
