Can't bear it!

I can't bear to be apart from my little girl. I checked the blog at least 30 times while at work. I know you know what I'm talking about.

Call of doodie

Gavin showing his cousin Leilani how it's done on Call of Duty. Leilani is pretty good at dropping bombs in a game she likes to call - Call of Doodie: Diaper Warfare.

Sweet Child O' Mine

I'm enjoying blogging much more than I thought I would. It's a great outlet for my all my photos and random thoughts as well it being a great way to share my little girl with you all. Sure there's Facebook, but as many of you know, I'm not a huge fan, plus I can't design anything on a Facebook page, so forget it. Just wait until Leilani realizes she's a huge Internet star, she'll probably ham it up even more for the camera.

Life in front of a lens

I imagine my daughter will grow up thinking someone incessantly taking photos of her is very normal. Then one day she'll visit a friend's house for the first time and ask where the guy who takes her pictures is. To which her friend will say, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? WHAT GUY?"

All smile and no laugh

It looks as though she's laughing, but no dice. I'm waiting anxiously to hear it. I have a feeling it'll be one of those infectious, from the gut laughs. Please excuse the blurry and off-center photos. The only way to get her to laugh was to blindly aim and shoot while making silly faces.

Wishes do come true

Thank you all for submitting such thoughtful and heartfelt wishes to Leilani. It's going to be interesting when the day comes that Leilani can read these and truly appreciate what each of you have wished for her. I honestly hope each of them does come true. Keep sending em'.

Ahhhh-mazing

I try not to get too deep about how amazing having a baby is, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it's pretty incredible how we ended up with this adorable thing. I mean, it wasn't that long ago I was looking at the first Ultrasound of my child at 1 inch in length. Now she's in the world making me laugh and smile every day. Hi-Five to Jen and I, this kid is Ahhhh-mazing.

Ms. Smiley Pants

I'd say for the past three weeks, more like two, Leilani's personality has really started to show. She spends most of the day talking in baby speak and smiling when we interact with her. We've started calling her Smiley Cyrus. No we haven't, I don't know why I lied to you. That's a terrible nickname. No, we call her Snoogle Boogle Woogle.

Happy Friday

Someone got their hair did. It's pretty cute when she has massive bed head. On a side note: It's difficult to see here, but I think that's a small faint birth mark at the bottom of her hairline on the back of her neck.

Fun with IncrediBooth

I downloaded IncrediBooth for my iPhone and as you can see it's a photo booth simulator. It's a lot of fun, dare I say incredible. The black and white effect is my favorite, but it does shoot in color and a couple other effect modes. Some of these photos are from when Leilani was only a few weeks old and others are much more recent.

Be my Valentine

It's the time of year when we tell our significant other how deeply we cherish and love them. This year I get to tell that to two beautiful and amazing ladies.

Lily turns 3

Happy Birthday Lily. Well, Jen and I don't know when her real birthday is, but on Valentine's day three years ago we rescued a black and white cat from my sister's house. She was found in the backyard trying to shelter herself from a down pour of rain and eat what she could from the dog bowl as my sister's little dog just watched. She was not reluctant to be picked up and brought inside. She is a very sweet cat that loves her home and family. We're so happy we have you Lily. – Mom, Dad, Leilani and Murray.

I Love Leilani redesign

So? What do you think?

Be sure to bookmark the new page. It's now iloveleilani.blogspot.com. As you can see, things have changed. I felt it was overdue for a new look. A few things were removed such as the poll, sorry everyone but thanks for participating. The last total was 66% for me and 33% for Jen. In it’s place I’ve added a “Wishes for Leilani” component that you all can contribute to shortly.

I will slowly be transfering all iheartleilani.blogspot.com posts over including all photos to this blog with a few retouches to help marry the new look with the old, so thank you in advance for your patience. I hope you all enjoy the new look and I will continue to add and change things as that is just what I do.

Corn dogs are hilarious

Annette was able to capture some video of Leilani laughing at a corn dog. Yep, she's already getting my sense of humor because I think corn dogs are hilarious too.

Someone turned up the gravity

Either someone turned up the gravity or I weigh over 14 pounds. I am finding it very difficult to move. Can someone please pass me a bottle since I'm not going anywhere.

Saturday, February 4

Diaper dance

This is what an everyday diaper change looks like, there's a lot of field goals and skateboard Ollies involved. I'm not sure, but I believe a crane kick might be the final move in her routine.
