The elusive smile

This is more of a grin than a smile. Her true smile is way cuter, but I've not be able to catch it on camera, so for the meantime, please enjoy these other adorable expressions.

Double the baby

As of today, Leilani is 12.3 pounds and 23.6 inches, nearly double her birth weight. She's growing in all directions, fast.

Leilani turns 2 months old

Jen found the only thing that could make our baby's chubby cheeks appear less chubby – GIANT FLOWER strapped to her head. Nailed it!

Who's what is who's?

Aside from the very spherical head, which I attribute to just being a baby, I think Leilani shares a pretty even split of Jen's and my features. Here's my thought on the breakdown: She has Jen's eye shape and color for sure. Her hair looks to be lighter brown taking after Jen. The nose is up for debate, but the forward-facing nostrils are a good indication that she might have gotten Daddy's nose. The lips I feel fairly certain she got from me. That's of course, just my opinion. Some have said she resembles her Grandpa Bill.

Baby Burps-A-Lot

I don't know what's natural when it comes to baby burps, but Leilani is not it. They're more like belches. To be even more accurate, they're like Shrek's belches.

Splish splash

Leilani loves bath time except the part where she has to be cleaned. So really she just likes sitting in warm water. Leilani loves warm water time.

Hangin' with Auntie Annette

I mean that literally. Leilani loves this carrier. It's her new favorite activity and since she doesn't cry in it, it's ours too.

Why so serious?

Leilani awakes looking very serious. I think she is trying to tell me to give the picture-taking a rest for once and let a girl sleep.

Super-sized baby

I am not so sure this Ghiradelli's brand formula was the healthiest choice. This looks like a weight gain ad. "On the Leilani 7-week plan, I nearly doubled my own weight and I look great!

Not so fast

Leilani's famous move, the ol' pretend I'm sleeping until they try to sit down and relax then I wake up and stay awake for hours trick. Shame on us, because it works every time.

Footprints & More

Leilani's prints get immortalized. We had a heart plaque made in addition to these ornaments which I'll post a pic of once it's ready.

New blog photographer

Such a cute photo taken by Jen. I think she's going to have to take over as the new blog photographer. Nice job babe!

My new friend Murray

The cats have been a bit weary of Leilani, especially Murray, but it looks as if he's finally warming up to her. That is until Leilani cries, then he can't get out of the room fast enough.

Blog broken / blog fixed

Blog issues are fixed and Leilani is happy again.

I heart Grandpa

Unfortunately Leilani was not able to meet her grandpa Salvador, but he would have absolutely adored her just as much as her other grandpa does, I'm certain of that.
