Leilani turns 5 months
Yup, that's right, 5 months already. It seems like week-to-week there is something new she's doing. She's beauty and brains, and braun apparently. This week it's pushups. She did about 12 yesterday. She's ripped!

Happy Friday
I thought a picture of Leilani in mid-laugh would put a smile on your face. At least I think she was laughing. She's mid-something whatever it is.

Dylan turns 1
This is about 2 weeks too late, but I wanted to post it because it's not often enough that these two adorable babies get together. This was taken at Dylan's first birthday party. She's so cute. On a side note, I've never truly understood what to call my aunts, such as Aunt Bettina in relationship to Leilani. Is she Leilani's great Aunt? I have no idea. Next time you see me, someone please explain this.

Oh boy!
L already has so many cute n' funny personality traits. As you have all been witness to, she laughs adorably and makes hilarious fart noises. I talked to a coworker the other day who has 3 girls. Oh boy. Or rather no boy. "They are definitely all their own person" he said with a slight chuckle. I took his laugh to mean their personalities were equally interesting and surprising. I am sure I will see what he means and I can't wait.

Sweet music
Here's a video of Leilani making sweet music. If this is any indication of her personality, we're going to get along just fine.

Princess Owlani
So, I put the iPad in front of Leilani and in a matter of seconds she switched from the browser to email and back again without tapping on any app icons. What!? I had no idea what she did, so I spent the next 10 minutes asking her to repeat it so I wouldn't feel so dumb. Thankfully she did it again and in case you're wondering she was swiping with four fingers, which shuffles through your recently opened apps. I know, you probably already knew that, but thanks to my baby, now I'm in the know too.

Moving on up
They grow up so fast. I know everyone says that, but now that I have a baby, I was hoping that wasn't true. She looks as though she's thinking, 'Sure, you've put me in a high chair, but where's the food?'

Family ties
Jen and I are both very lucky to have large, close-knit families. We both grew up having very close relationships with our cousins, aunts and uncles and I don't doubt Leilani will experience the same. She already has so many cousins close in age. It's going to be very cool to see them all hanging out together.

Happy Easter
From Leilani, Jen and I to all of the blog viewers, Happy Easter. I apologize for the long layoff on this week's post, it's been a busy one.

Top of her class
Leilani isn't one to settle for mediocrity. No, she strives for excellence. Leilani's weight is in the 95 percentile. 16.2 pounds at 4 months is no small feat, that takes drive and perseverance.

Fooled you!
April Fools! Sorry to trick you all, but Leilani was never a real baby. She's a Robobaby – living tissue over metal endoskeleton. It's been well worth the 4 months of keeping this a secret just to see the expressions on your faces. LOL! You must feel so fooled right now. Don't worry, don't worry! We'll keep her up and running, but I'm definitely going to switch her poop button off. Now that you all know, there's no need to keep that messy thing on. I'm glad I waited till November to buy my Robobaby because some of the early 2011 models weren't as cute, but these new ones - Adorrrr-able!
